If And When

If God was a child
With a soft, playful smile,
Would He come to Earth
To fill us with mirth?

If God was a mother
With love like no other,
Would She smile on us
To fill us with trust?

If God was a father
Would He even bother
To reach out His hand
To save all He can?

May every heart listen
To the signs we are missing,
For that Love that we seek
Shines inside you and me.
